Guidelines for Lost Passport

In case you have lost your Passport, you can apply for re-issuance of your Machine Readable Passport (MRP).

Following documents are required for processing an application:

In case the passport is lost, the Police Report mentioning previous lost passport number will be required.
The lost Machine-readable Passport number can be acquired by filing written application, if required, along with CNIC/NICOP copies or CRC (in case of minor).
In case of 1st-time loss, the double fee would be charged for passport, on second-time loss, it shall be quadruple.
Third Time Lost: 3rd-time loss cases will be referred to the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports, Islamabad for seeking further advice/approval.

Note:

In case of a lost passport application, Machine Readable Passport (MRP) shall only be delivered after the verification of the previous MRP/Manual Passport from the concerned issuing authority in Pakistan or Abroad, which may take a month or longer.
