Smart National Identity Card for overseas Pakistanis (SNICOP)

Requirements For Smart National Identity Card (SNICOP)

National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) office, Pakistan High Commission London and its Consulates Birmingham, Manchester and Bradford have been authorized to provide Smart National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (SNICOP) to Pakistani Diaspora.

  1. Book Appointment Online
  2. Personal appearance of applicant for live photo and biometric.
  3. For renewal: Valid original Pakistani Passport or valid original foreign passport, Old/expired CNIC/NICOP.
  4. Applicants applying for the first time are required to provide detailed birth certificate mentioning both father and mother names. Birth certificate without the names of father and mother will not be accepted.
  5. CNIC/NICOP card of Father and Mother (updated as married in NADRA record after marriage) or real brother or sister is required. Physical presence of any of such blood relative (Father/Mother/Siblings) having NICOP/CNIC is required in case of applicant who are applying for the first time.
  6. For changing marital status, applicant is required to produce original Nikkah Nama / Marriage Certificate.
  7. For changing marital status as divorced / widow, the applicant will require to produce original divorce/death certificate of his/her spouse.
  8. NADRA requires the cancellation of a deceased blood relative's identity card (CNIC/NICOP) before family members can proceed with their identity document applications. If applicant’s any blood relative (parent/sibling) has been deceased, the deceased blood relative’s NADRA card must be cancelled before processing of any application.
  9. Modification in date of birth (DOB) can be done on provision of valid Pakistani/foreign passport, Service Book (issued from Government of Pakistan) or court order (issued by Pakistani Court of Law).
  10. Court order from a Pakistani Court of Law is required for modification / updating of parentage name. The modification/ updating will be done after due verification of the court order by the High Commission.
  11. In case a person does not have any blood relative, having NICOP/CNIC, then finger prints of any Pakistani citizen, holding CNIC/NICOP will be required at NADRA office, as a witness and the case will be forwarded to Pakistan for further verification.
